It’s America’s birthday this week, so in keeping with the party theme, we thought this would be a great time to announce Amsterdam Printing is celebrating its 115th (!) birthday this year.
Our company has had a long and interesting history. Here are some fun facts you might not have known about us, plus a video that provides some cool shots from the “old days” and a look at the people who make Amsterdam Printing what it is today.
1. The company began as a one-man print shop in 1898, operated out of the back of a New York City apartment owned by Abraham Singer (that’s him to the right).
2. Singer moved the business to Amsterdam, New York, in 1909, and, thus, the name of the company was born.
3. By 1925, Amsterdam Printing & Litho was producing bridge score pads, personalized with an advertiser’s name on each page.
5. Amsterdam Printing serves clients in all areas of small business as well as education and non-profit markets.
