In preparation for the upcoming 3.5 mile Workforce Team Challenge, I’ve been training for the past few months on the treadmill. It was fairly nice in Upstate New York this weekend, so I decided to take my training to the streets. This is the first outdoor run I’ve had since November. I forgot how different it is to run out in the elements, as opposed to inside in the comfort of my local gym. There is no TV or climate control.
It’s important to remember some essentials when you’re exercising outside:
